Sec. 19-13-B33b. Public pools
The Connecticut Spa Warning Sign has informational messages for property and swimming policy concerns. The Connecticut Spa Warning Sign is a useful tool to help protect the health and safety of others in pool and swimming areas, and is not a substitute for necessary protective measures for lessening or eliminating hazards. This sign complies with Regs., Conn. State Agencies § 19-13-B33b.
(e) Additional requirements for public spas.
(4) Precaution Sign. A precaution sign is to be mounted in a clearly visible location, adjacent to the spa. This precaution sign shall contain the following warnings:
CAUTION.
- Elderly persons and those suffering from heart disease, diabetes, high or low blood pressure should not enter the spa.
- Unsupervised use by children is prohibited.
- Do not use while under the influence of alcohol, anticoagulants, antihistamines, vasoconstrictors, vasodilators, stimulants, hypnotics, narcotics or tranquilizers.
- Do not use alone.
- Observe a reasonable time limit, (preferably not longer than 15 minutes) then shower, cool down and, if you wish, return for another brief stay. Long exposures may result in nausea, dizziness or fainting.
