Roll-Up and Rigid Aluminum Signs

Advance Warning Rigid and flexible "roll-up" signs may be used for mobile, short duration and short term stationary work. Rigid signs must be mounted at least 5 feet above grade (7 feet where there are pedestrians or parked cars) for visibility and to avoid windshield penetration if they are impacted. Roll-Up signs must be mounted at least one foot above grade. Use retro reflectorized rigid signs for night work.

The signs below are available in 18″, 24″, 30″, 36″ and 48″ rigid aluminum, and 36″ and 48″ for roll-up materials.

Roll-up signs lead time is 15 business days after approval. Rigid aluminum signs ship within 3 - 5 business days.

Mounting Holes or Ribs Assembly

Rigid aluminum diamonds are supplied with 3/8" dia. mounting holes. Hole configuration is as follows: 18″, 24″, 30″ and 36″ diamonds have 2 holes (top and bottom), 48″ diamonds have 4 mounting holes. Roll-Up materials have two rib options, with and without flag assembly.

Roll-Up Sign with Flag Assembly

Standard orange flags or flashing warning lights may be used in conjunction with signs.

When standard orange flags or flashing warning lights are used in conjunction with signs, they shall not block the sign face.

Our folding flag system allows permanent attachment of two 18" fluorescent orange vinyl flags. Flags roll up with the sign for easy storage and fast deployment. Sliding clips quickly lock flags in their open position.

Roll-Up Sign Plastic Corner Pockets

At 3/4" deep, the Delta Rib Pocket is designed to be easier to deploy than conventional pockets. Made of tough polycarbonate, it features increased strength and the smallest storage diameter in the industry.

Featuring a full depth design, rectangular pockets are typically used at the top and bottom of the sign. Made of tough polycarbonate, they will fit all pocket style sign holders.

The fourth example shows an orange diamond-shaped sign with a black border and letters with the words "UTILITY WORK AHEAD" in three lines mounted on a vertical pole that is mounted on four horizontal supports. The distance from the bottom of the sign to the bottom of the supports is labeled as "1 ft MIN. above the traveled way." At the top of the sign, three orange flags are shown mounted equidistant apart from each other on short staffs that extend out from the top of the vertical pole at 45-degree angles.
