The SANDBLASTING (NYW8-43) sign may be used to warn of work sites where sandblasting is being conducted and airborne dust or debris might at times drift into the roadway.
Guidance
The SANDBLASTING sign should be displayed only while sandblasting is occuring. It should be removed, covered, or faced away from traffic when sandblasting operations are not being carried out. Where used, the SANDBLASTING sign should be placed in a suitable distance in advance of the sandblasting area
